Work From Home Envelope Stuffing Jobs
While there are many legitimate work from home opportunities online, generally envelope stuffing is not one of them. Envelope stuffing may sound like an ideal and easy way to earn some extra money, after all who wouldn’t love to sit and watch TV while making money, but don’t be fooled.
Many envelope stuffing schemes require an introductory payment as a show of good faith. Once you send in the money, you receive a kit that asks you to solicit others to send in their money for a kit, promising that after you do this you will get paid.
The United States Post Office has listed work from home envelope stuffing as one of its top five mail frauds in past years. The list is based on the number of people who have been affected and the amount of money generated by the fraud.
The only real way to make money stuffing envelopes is to start your own direct mail service. A direct mail service takes the responsibility of mailings from a business. You manage their mailing lists and send out all their mailings. Often a direct mail service, to be successful, even creates the inserts to be mailed as well as the labels and envelopes, thus taking yet another nuisance-like task from the client.
A direct mail service requires a lot of work, building client relationships as you create a good reputation in your business community. To get started you will need at least a computer with database software. If you want to design the pieces you will be mailing, you will also need a design program.
